Privacy Policy & Confidentiality Statement
1. Overview & Privacy Principles
Solvo is an offline-first puzzle game designed to respect your peace of mind and personal privacy. We believe a classic logic game should not spy on you or hoard unnecessary personal records.
2. Data Collection and Usage
Solvo does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information (such as your name, email, phone number, contacts, or precise GPS location).
A. Local On-Device Data (Not Transmitted)
All core gameplay data is stored exclusively on your local device using an encrypted/sandboxed SQLite database:
- Puzzle States & Board History: Grid entries, active candidates, pencil marks, and undo/redo stacks.
- Game Statistics: Solved puzzles, win streaks, personal best completion times, and difficulty preferences.
- App Settings: Dark/light theme selection and in-app purchase flags (e.g. ad-free entitlement).
This data never leaves your device and is permanently deleted when you clear app data or uninstall Solvo.
B. Third-Party Services & Technical Diagnostics
To support ongoing maintenance and provide optional monetization, Solvo integrates trusted third-party SDKs provided by Google LLC:
-
Google AdMob (Advertising):
Delivers non-intrusive banner and completion interstitial ads. AdMob may process device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID / GAID), general coarse location (IP address at city/country level), and diagnostic metrics to serve relevant ads, limit frequency, and prevent fraud.
Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy - Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): Manages user consent in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / ePrivacy Directive in the EU/EEA/UK) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You can review or revoke your ad personalization preferences at any time.
- Google Play In-App Billing: Processes the one-time "Remove Ads" upgrade. Payment transactions are executed directly and securely by Google Play. We receive only a cryptographically signed purchase token to unlock the ad-free experience. We never see or store your credit card or financial details.
- Crash Diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics, if enabled): Anonymous crash reports and stack traces may be gathered to detect and fix bugs across different Android hardware configurations.
3. Your Rights & Data Controls
You have full autonomy over your data and tracking preferences:
- Remove Ads (Completely Disable Ad Identifiers): Purchasing the one-time "Remove Ads" option disables all ad requests and shuts down AdMob tracking in the app entirely.
-
Reset or Opt Out of Advertising ID:
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time through Android Settings:
Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (or Reset). -
Data Erasure:
Uninstalling Solvo removes all local progress, boards, and statistics instantly. You may also clear data via
Settings → Apps → Solvo → Storage → Clear Data. - GDPR / CCPA Rights: Under European and Californian regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of personal information held by third-party processors.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Solvo is a general audience puzzle application and does not knowingly target, solicit, or collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain EU jurisdictions). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has inadvertently provided data, please contact us immediately for prompt removal.
5. Security & Confidentiality
We employ standard best practices to safeguard user confidentiality:
- HTTPS / TLS 1.3 encryption for all external communication (Google Play, AdMob).
- Sandboxed storage protection provided by the Android operating system.
- Zero transmission of puzzle grids or local play patterns over the network.
